El Questro

El Questro Wilderness Park is a big cattle station turned tourist spot in the Kimberley. It’s more than just camping – you can stay in cabins, safari tents, or the resort. The place is remote, so expect to pay a bit more than usual and plan your supplies carefully.

The camping area has powered and unpowered sites, with access to showers and toilets. It’s not your usual caravan park; the roads inside can be rough, especially after rain. You’ll want a 4WD to get the most out of the area and to explore the gorges and walks nearby.

Bookings are essential as it fills up quickly, especially in peak season. There’s a shop on site but don’t count on a big range – stock up in Kununurra before you head out.
