BIG4 Port Hughes Holiday Park sits right on the coast in South Australia’s Mid North, about 20 minutes from Port Pirie. It’s a decent spot if you’re after a mix of beach access and caravan park facilities without the fuss. The park offers powered sites, cabins, and campgrounds, so you’ve got options depending on how fancy you want to get.

The park has basics covered – clean amenities, a camp kitchen, and a playground if you’re dragging the kids along. The beach is close enough for a quick walk, but keep in mind it’s not exactly secluded; you’ll get other families and caravanners about, especially in the school holidays. If you’re towing something big, it’s worth checking the site size filters on Total Parks as some spots can be tight.

Port Hughes itself is a small fishing village with a jetty that’s good for a stroll or a bit of fishing gear action. For supplies, you’ll want to head into Port Pirie or Kadina, as the local shops are limited. Overall, it’s a solid, no-nonsense base if you’re touring the Yorke Peninsula or just passing through the coast.
