Tropical Tablelands Van Park is a straightforward caravan park just off the Kennedy Highway in Mareeba. It’s the kind of place you stop if you’re passing through or heading to Atherton Tablelands. No frills – powered sites for vans and a few cabins if you’re not towing the rig.

The park’s a bit rough around the edges but clean enough. It’s close to town, so you can grab supplies easily. The booking is by request, so you’ll want to sort that before you turn up. Expect the usual Queensland flies during warmer months.
