Pandanus Tourist Park
Pandanus Tourist Park is right in the thick of Port Douglas, so you’re close to the main strip but not right on top of it. It’s got the usual setup – powered sites for vans and cabins if you want a roof over your head. The park’s layout is a bit tight, so bigger rigs might have to manoeuvre carefully.
The facilities are decent enough – there’s a pool which is handy after a day sweating it out in the tropics, and the park is a short walk from the beach and shops. It’s practical, not fancy, so don’t expect a resort vibe but it ticks the boxes if you want somewhere central without blowing the budget.
