Oaks Camp Site

Oaks Camp Site is on Inskip Point Road near Rainbow Beach, a spot popular for beach access and fishing rather than flash facilities. It’s a caravan and camping spot where you book sites in advance rather than just rock up. The location is handy if you’re planning to catch the ferry to Fraser Island or want to camp close to the water without the crowds of Rainbow Beach itself.

The site is pretty basic, so don’t expect a resort. You’ll find powered and unpowered sites, mostly suitable for vans and tents. There’s not much in the way of shops or cafes nearby, so stock up before you get there. Expect sand, some flies, and the usual Queensland humidity, especially in summer.

Booking is by request, so it’s best to lock in your spot early, especially in peak holiday times. The access road can get a bit rough after rain, so a decent vehicle is recommended if you’re towing.
