Capricorn Caves Tourist Park

Capricorn Caves Tourist Park sits right next to the Capricorn Caves, about 20 minutes from Rockhampton. It’s a proper tourist park with powered and unpowered sites, cabins, and some basic facilities. The park isn’t flash but it’s handy if you want to check out the caves early before the crowds show up.

The spots are mostly grassed and shaded, with a camp kitchen and amenities block on site. The park tends to get busy on weekends, especially school holidays, so booking ahead is best. The road in is sealed but narrow, so watch out for oncoming traffic.

It’s pretty quiet at night and ideal if you’re after a no-frills base to explore the caves and local bushwalks. Don't expect a resort atmosphere – it’s more about location than luxury here.
