Erldunda Roadhouse Desert Oaks

Cnr Stuart & Lasseter Hwys, Erldunda, Northern Territory
Visit WebsiteGet Directions

Erldunda Roadhouse Desert Oaks is a classic outback roadhouse with a caravan park attached, sitting right on the junction of the Stuart and Lasseter Highways. It’s one of the few places to stop for fuel, food, and a shower between Alice Springs and Uluru, so expect it to be busy during peak travel times.

The caravan park itself offers powered and unpowered sites, plus a few basic cabins. The amenities are functional rather than fancy, but you’ll get a proper shower and flushing toilets – a welcome break from the bush. Bookings are recommended, especially during school holidays or weekends.

Keep in mind it’s a bit of a dust bowl out there, and the roadhouse food is your typical petrol station fare. Still, if you’re rolling through central Australia, this is one of the more reliable stops for a break and a decent night’s sleep in a camper or cabin.
